Autoaudiosink is missing?

Basically, I'm not able to play music at all. Youtube videos seem to crash my browser and using either Rhythmbox or Banshee they crash too.

I ran Rhythmbox by typing sudo rhythmbox and tried to play a file and it displayed a pop-up window saying that my autioaudiosink element is missing and the terminal displayed this:

...after trying it with Rhytmbox and it also displayed another box telling me to click a button and download the required software packages but by the end of the software trying to find what I needed, it said it could not find what I need so I tried the same with Banshee and got a few errors and it waited for ages but would not even play:

I know some of them lines are irrelevant to this question but I thought I should post them anyway in case they may help a little bit.

I'm pretty sure when I installed Ubuntu at first, I downloaded the gstreamer files.

I ran pulseaudio from the terminal aswell and it displayed the following:

Is this a bug or anything does anyone know? And also, how would I go about fixing this? I'm not too Linux-literate at the minute so I don't know where to go from here, really. But thank you in advanced if you can help.

My first instinct would be to pop open a terminal and type:

sudo apt-get install gstreamer

That's the magic words for getting anything that seems missing. It works for me 9 times out of 10.

However you might be as well advised to open

System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager

and use that to locate the plugins and other related musical bits and then have Synaptic install them all for you.

I know in the past I've googled "Ubuntu+Sound" and found good tutorials on getting sound set up properly.
