    Trying to burn iso

    Hello

Really houwping you know how to solve this. Have been asking what might be the issue, but have not been able to get an answer.
Am trying to burn an iso image that i downloaded. When using Brasero (even on the slowest burn) and at the end i get an error message. Have also tried XfBurn, but when i choose the file the image is in and click to open it appears on the very top of the panel and i can't get into it.

what is the error message ? Be sure when burning you are selecting to burn an ISO not make a bootable cd.

    It says “unknown error”

Oh no! I clicked to delete the iso from the desktop and it deleted it from the folder as well. Please be a way to get it back

I think it burns as an iso normally?

    Try gnomebaker. To install
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install gnomebaker
I have yet to figure out why, but I have no end of troubles burning from every program except gnomebaker and k3b.

Or you can get your geek on and try it from the terminal
    Code:
    wodim dev=/dev/scd0 fs=14M speed=4 -dao -eject -v myimage.iso

That seems to have burnt fine. Just goes to show that a little advice can go such a long way.
It would be good to scan the file, so was wondering if there is an antivirus i could use for linux

Yes, you can find some antivirus apps that you might like listed here:

    Anti-Virus | Linux App Finder

...it's better to install the one of your choice with your default system package tool if possible.
