browse and copy files to iphone 3G how ?

I simply want to move files between my jailbroken iphone 3G and my Karma desktop.
Is there an easy way to achieve this. I don't really want to use Virtualbox with Win installed into it and thereafter Itunes.
I don't need or want to sync anything - just move the odd files around.
I installed ifuse but all I can see is the DCIM i.e picture folder when I connect it to the desktop.
    Any more ideas anyone ?
Right now I have to email the file to the iphone and save it like that but this is just a workaround.

So far I haven't found a way. Apple dislike Linux and try their best not to support it* which is a pity as I like my iPhone but probably won't keep it after all the free stuff runs out (about another 6 months)

    * I found that on the Internet so it must be true

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.

I feel sure I read a posting some time ago where using SSH it was possible but I cannot find the post again. Maybe I got it wrong

If you have openSSH installed on your iphone you can ssh into your iphone from linux.

You can use SCP to transfer files.

Read the man pages on SSH and SCP, it is really quite simple.
