hi dudes

first of all: sorry if i make any mistake while writing, i'm brazilian and not that good writing in english.

So, recently (about a week ago) o bought a notebook wich came with a brazilian linux distro installed. But as that distro was not good at all, i change it for Karmic koala. My only problem now is that Karmic found no video card's resolution, giving me that two standard reso's: 800x600/ 640x480

I already have saw a lot of foruns in my previous searchs talking about xorg.conf, specially when they refer to a previous version of Ubuntu, but the new one doesn't bring such folder at all.

I'll paste here my config:

I'd like to have 1024x? resolutions, as my video card supports.

ps˛: i had a karmic installed b4 this one and at that time (2 days ago ^^) i've foud a way to adjust the screen. But i didn't found the forum again... aff

guys, i could, thanks God, solve this problem just installing the driver needed and then rebboting my PC. After that, my system had started with right resolution screen 1280x800.
