Hey all! First time poster, and complete newbie.

So I have a Dell Inspiron 1545, with

BCM4312 802.11 b/g
14e4:4315

Because I couldn't get wireless to work, I was able to activate "Broadcom STA wirless Driver " using Hardware Drivers.

Wireless still inoperative...I had installed WICD which didn't help, so I moved back to Network Manager. Upon clicking Network Manager (upper right panel) it says "Wireless Disabled". If i then right-click>edit connections>wirless, it is all blank. Even when i simply right click> it wont let me
check "enable" wireless.

Under Add Wireless connection, I am unfamiliar with how to proceed. Any suggestions?
