Looking for a file download calculator

I'm running Ubuntu 9.10 main. I download a lot of files from various file hosting sites like Rapidshare and Megaupload. Is there a program that'll calculate the download time for these files using their size and my download speed? Thanks.

Most download manager programs will do that for you. So will the standard Firefox downloader. I use the FlashGot extension on my browser and KGet under the covers as the actual download manager. There are others than KGet, but since I am using KDE on my CentOS/RHEL system, it works very nicely for me.

If you need to calculate the estimated time before you start a download, then pull up the system calculator and do it yourself. Some calculator software will allow you to write and save quickie programs so you only have to plug in the variables (size and speed).
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
