Are you sure you need to defragment your disk?
I've been running Linux for more than 10 years and have never had to degrag, as Linux doesn't usually deposit data all over the disk the way Windows does.oz

Linux doesn't fragment like Windows does, see this link for an (hopefully) explanation.
Why doesn't Linux need defragmenting?
Disk checking in Linux is done from the command line, preferably from a LiveCD or USB drive.

If you have data on your drive that you don't want to lose, I wouldn't recommend tinkering with too many disk tools unless you have things backed up somewhere else.
fsck can help a broken partition, but defragging is not something you'll really see as an issue in linux.
