How come amsn doesn't show up in the ubuntu volume control, on the individual applications tab ?
the volume control detects no application running whereas amsn is running and making noise, and I would like to deactivate it sometimes but not all the time, that's why I went to volume control, and nothing...

when amsn produces a sound and that I look at the same time in volume control / applications, alsa appears very briefly and disappears...
