    kernel compilation doubt

    Hello,
    i compiled one new kernel in my AMD athlon processor and installed in any external drive. after that if i insert that external drive in any intel processor mean whether the kernel which i compile will work or not?

    It might... depending on the options that you compiled.
    If in doubt, you might want to compile with support for both types of CPU.
    It won't really add much to the size of the kernel, maybe a couple of KB.
