    Not sure, but it usually in 6 month intervals, April and October. That's what the decimal number refers to, the year.month of release, as in 9.04 and 9.10. If they keep to this, the next release will be in April 2010 with the release number of 10.04.

    what is the advantage of having a dvd over live cd specially for ubuntu..the site tells that dvd have extra language and nothing more...it is correct...and what does it mean LTK release...

    LTS is supported longer, 3 years for desktop, 5 years for server

    More packages on a single disk is pretty much the only advantage. The DVD can be a disadvantage for those downloading from a very slow internet connection.
