    If you haven't already done so, you can also check out the troubleshooting guide in the ubuntu documentation pages:

    https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshooting

    Hope it helps.

    User satimisu910 is not a part of audio group. Add audio group through System - Administration - User and Groups. Select satimsu910 and click Manage Groups.
    Make sure to gain root privileges by click in Keys Icon at bottom of User Settings window.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    Hi devils casper,

    I solved my problem as follows;

    On terminal started alsamixer (as user and also as root)

    $ alsamixer
    Master - not mute, but 00. I could not adjust its volume
    Front Center - not mute, but 00. Also I couldn't adjust its volume

    Installed gnome-alsamixer

    $ gnome-alsamixer

    Now I could adjust the volume of Master and Front Center as user. Also I could adjust the volume of Master and Front Center on alsamixer as user. But still there was no sound.

    On terminal again;

    $ sudo apt-get remove pulseaudion
    $ sudo apt-get install esound

    $ id satimisu910
    Code:
    uid=1000(satimisu910) gid=1000(satimisu910) groups=1000(satimisu910),4(adm),20(dialout),24(cdrom),46(plugdev),106(lpadmin),115(admin),122(sambashare)

    Then I have sound back on external speakers. But still I couldn't have sound on Display speakers.

    Output:

    Any advice? TIA
