    [SOLVED] Avast (windows/common)

I've got ubuntu 9.10 in my machine and install avast on it, althought the av dont recognize the windows and the commom partitions.
I know that windows is dev/sda1 and the commom is dev/sda5 and in avast, only appears the folder dev, dont appear the subfolders.
    what is the problem?

Have you mounted Windows partitions? Post the output of these commands :
    Code:
    sudo fdisk -l
    df -h
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    sorry,
how to scan commom and windows partition in ubuntu 9.10, with avast linux :

1- most access in menu the partition you want to scan, insert your password and than appears an icon of the partition in desktop,
2 - open avast and choose the option select a folder and look for the folder that have a icon of a computer click in the arrow to expand more folders,
3 - look for folder called media and in this folder you'll see the subfolder of the partition you want to scan.

    regards

All non-OS partitions are mounted in /media folder by default. It is the first place where one should look for partitions.
