    Installing packages on ubuntu

    I have a Fedora 10 DVD, but It won't work right on my PC, so I'm wondering if I can install the packages on the Fedora DVD to Ubuntu and how I would do so if it's possible.

    Ubuntu has a tool called Alien which converts RPM to DEB but you shouldn't need it as Ubuntu has over 26000 packages in it's repositories.
