    Virtual Box

I am running Windows 7 as my main OS, but I installed Virtual Box and want to emulate Ubuntu thro that. My problem is that I can not figure out how to resize my Ubuntu session via Virtual Box. When I try the sudo nano /etc/X11/config or whatever that option is, I get a blank text file???!!!

How would I go about resizing my Ubuntu????

The file is /etc/X11/xorg.conf, but the latest Ubuntu I think no longer uses it. Harware autodetection and auto-configuration has advanced to the point where xorg.conf is frequently not necessary. It is fine to create the file to add or change options.

However, I don't think that's what you're looking for. Are you trying to get virtualbox into full screen mode? When you maximize the VB window, you're left with just a rectangle of Ubuntu in the middle and this is what you want to fix, right?

If so, you need to install VirtualBox Guest Additions.

Yes, I was referencing when I click on fullscreen I am left with Ubuntu in just a little box in the center. I will try and install the addon's with this tutorial tonight and get back with you as to whether or not this fixes it. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it does fix it!!!!

Linux is case sensitive. vboxlinuxadditions-x86.run is not equal to VBoxLinuxAdditions-x86.run

Make sure the file path and capitalization are correct.

I got the guest additions to install, but i am still unable to reconfigure the resolution. Even when I go to fullscreen it is just a small black box in the center....

Okay the seamless integration fixes my resolution problems, but is there another way for me to fix it?
