    ATI PCI TV WOnder 500

    Hey Everyone,

I've just recently reformatted my windows computer (today) and installed Ubuntu 9.10. Now I've gotten mostly everything working (at least everything I've tried so far), but the one thing I can't get to work is my ATI TV Wonder card. I've tried a bunch of things I've seen online, but I haven't had any luck so far, and my main goal is to use this system as a media server, so it's kind of important.

I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck with this card (it is a 6-7 year old card I believe)? And if so, if you would be so kind as to detail what you did, or what packages I need to install (tried installing gatos with no real luck).

I've played with linux in the past, but it's been a very long time and I am a complete beginner at this time. So any instructions, please be kind enough to detail the exact command to use.

    Thanks,
    Jeremy

Now I still have this card, but my buddy gave me a Pinnacle PCTV Pro USB and I'm trying to get that to work. I've read more about it and I've heard people getting this and the usb stick versions to work, but I am unable to.

I tried going through the install from here and it wouldn't let me do the "hg clone ... " portion. I followed the wiki link and continued from there (a different download), but it wouldn't let me do the "sudo modprobe em28xx). Says Error inserting em28xx: Operation not permitted.

Has anyone had any luck with this tv tuner, or know what my issue is?

    Thanks,\Jeremy
