hey guys

am running mint 8 (essentially running as karmic studio), and am getting annoyed with JACK. i cannot run concurrently media player, tuxguitar or ardour, having to close one before opening another.

this is made more annoying by the fact that im sure i dont have to put up with it. however, i cannot seem to figure out how it's possible.

noob question i know but cant find much help online.
