    webcam for 6.06

I have an old iMac running xubuntu 6.06 and I want to connect a USB webcam to it and both store video from the cam onto an external drive and view remotely over the net. My thoughts are that I need to set up remote access client, the external drive and webcam to write to the external drive but I am stuck on an answer as to what program to use for the webcam. Any thoughts on an application that could handle that? I was thinking that Nemesis would work but all the links that I have found for it are dead.

It might work with XFCE as Gnome and XFCE are closely related.

    Cheese

Another one that will work with xfce is
    camorama - news

    wxcam may be another option

Since you have to use Ubuntu 6.06. You will have to dig a bit I guess. Good luck with it.

Edit: Thought I would throw this in for good measure.
Setup and configure Ubuntu Dapper Drake Linux - Carboogle
