router installation
Hi, I recently bought a wireless-N broadban router ( Linsksys by cisco, model WRT160N) and want to know how to configure it in kubuntu. I tried looking in Kpackage, but there are many programs and I don't know which one to install. Thanks!

Hmm, firefox?

Most probably you just need to
- connect your PC to the WRT160N,
- give your PC´s NIC a IP in the net 192.168.1.0/24
- open firefox
- and enter 192.168.1.1
Look here for further information:

There is no software to install for a router. Router should work automaticaly out of the box all you have to do is set it up within IE/firefox by typing the gateway address. The gateway for your router will be 192.168.1.1 put this into the webrowser and since its new there should be no password.
This is an example for your router.(just follow the instructions until you get sign into your router once your there stop following these instructions since this guide is to open some ports for a game)

When I installed that same router recently, I just connected the router to my DSL modem, plugged two computers into the router, powered up the modem and router, then booted the computers and it all worked perfectly.
Hope it goes so easily for you.oz
