Exclamation Resolution Problems with ATI Radeon 9000

    Hey guys,

Ok, I have got the desktop effects working after figuring out how to enable ATI Radeon drivers on Ubuntu. Now I need to change my resolution. When I go System>Preferences>Display It allows me to change my resolution. It is currently set at 1024x768 while I want it to go to 1152x864. I don't see my prefered resolution listed. My monitor is a Royal Information Company 16". Any help is appreciated and if anybody needs to know more information about anything, please feel free to ask me.

Which Ubuntu release? Are these the proprietary drivers or are you referring to the open source radeon driver? Are you using an xorg.conf file? If so post it. (File location would be /etc/X11/xorg.conf.)

    Hi and Welcome !

    Execute this in Terminal
    Code:
    cat /etc/lsb-release
    Post output here.

Have you tried to install driver through Hardware Drivers option available in System - Administration menu?
Does your machine has internet acces?
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

I have internet access and when I open Hardware Drivers, it says no proprietary drivers are in use.
