I've used xsane before without any problems and have the proper backend installed, but I recently bought a logitech digital camera and now all of the xsane features go to the camera. I unplugged the camera, but then xsane can't find the scanner at all.

Xsane seems to recognize my camera because it's a .drc file and when I try to load xsane.rc I get the error message '.sane/xsane.rc is not a device-rc file' - What does this mean?

I have oslo 3071b2.usb file in the gtxx folder; I got the file from the sane backend page.

This all used to work fine until I got the digital camera hooked up to the PC and now only the camera is recognized. would upgrading to the newest version of Ubuntu have done anything to cause this?

Thanks for all the help and advice.
