Ubuntu Disk Image for Mac Powerbook G3

I downloaded the Desktop version of Ubuntu 9.10 for the PowerPC, unfortunately, it is 2MB to large for a CD. I do not want to waste a DVD for the sake of two MB. I saw a version that is smaller version that will fit on a CD called Alternate Install. What is the difference if any in the two?

    Thanks,
    Jim.

the alternate install does not have a GUI installer, and does not use a mouse.
it also can not be used as a liveCD.

what happens is when you run the installation, you use your keyboard to select options and confirm settings, its entirely text based. once you know what to expect it goes much faster then the GUI installer because its using less resources.

I'm glad I waited and asked first. I don't think I want that. I think it would be much to my advantage to just put the image I have on a DVD.

    Thanks,
    Jim.
