I've never tried lyrics screenlet, but I do use Amarok, which also has lyrics. You might give it a try if you can't get lyrics screenlet to work.

thanks, it works fine, its just like 50% of the songs the lyrics are unknown...which would be understandable on some songs, but like 4 patty smith songs nothing, and it played some of the older punk fine to, is there a specific site it gets it from or they in general, or is it more of like it bings it...?

You'd have to look on the website or the package help files might be of use. I really didn't even kow it existed before you mentioned it.
