    Ubuntu 10.04 livecd mode not running

    Hi people!
    I'm trying to run the subj on my desktop but all the time i get this :

    "The installer encountered an unrecoverable error. A desktop session will now be run so that you may investigate the problem or try installing again."

    I hit ok and pc throws the cd out, and thats it;
    Rebooting gets me back to win 7

    What is the problem? does anybody know about how can i solve the problem?
    Oh, The disc is ok cos it runs good on my laptop

    Hi and Welcome !

    Problem is in installation media only. Have you verified MD5SUM of downloaded .iso image? If .iso image is not corrupted, burn it at lowest possible speed supported by your CD Burner.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
