    Question setting up wireless

    I'm trying to set up a wireless connection to my personal wireless net. I have a Linksys N router and I am using a WMN 300n adapter. I found out how to get the connection manager but I'm not sure if i ams upposed to enter the MAC of the router and I know what the SSID is but the B**ssid(not quite sure what that was and I'm on a Win7 system right now)so any info to get my wireless connection now

    Wow sorry but I find it extremely hard to even try figure out what you've asked in that post..

    Could you try be a little clearer, because it doesn't even seem to me that you having a "Ubuntu Problem"

    Ok thats better.

    First off is Ubuntu picking up your wireless hardware

    Go to System > Administration > Hardware Drivers and you will see if your wireless driver is Active.

    If not the you will need to hook up to the net via a Ethernet cable and install the correct drivers.

    Once you are satisfied that the wireless drivers are active all you do is go and view the available wireless networks (by pressing the little wireless signal button at the top of the screen).


    Then you just click on the SSID of your wireless Router and enter your network key, whether its WPA WEP etc etc.
