Have question about Ubuntu.
I just installed Linux(Ubuntu) and I when from Windows to Linux. I use the option to use the entire hard drive when it installed and my question is when I had it use the entire hard drive did it keep the computer drivers or did it erase them? I notice that the sound is only about have as loud as before but is that Linux or my computer? I also notice when I plug in my mp3 sometimes it doesn't detect it. Also when I plug in my headset into the font USB it doesn't work. I'm not sure what is going on. Can anyone help?

Drivers for Linux are in the Kernel Mostly. It sounds like you need the user manual. I don't know which version of Ubuntu you are running. So below is the Manual for Ubuntu 9.10

Ubuntu and most of other Linux distros take care of drivers and there is no need to install any driver except a few devices like Graphics Card ( Nvidia/ATI ) and Wireless Card.
Both of these should work by default. Were those working in other OS? Are you sure that its not a Hardware problem?I also notice when I plug in my mp3 sometimes it doesn't detect it. Also when I plug in my headset into the font USB it doesn't work. I'm not sure what is going on.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
