No CD/DVD automount in Ubuntu Lucid
I cannot force Ubuntu to open my data DVDs upon their insertion. It is present, but it won't automount. Of course, in /etc/fstab are no indications for removable devices, but this is correct, I think. Any help/similar experiences?
If you need a CD/DVD catalogizer, give a try to my program:

Yes this is correct. You do not need anything added in the fstab for these devices or else they will not be auto mounted when inserted.
Is your user added to the udev group?

There are no udev group!
The disk is present, but the automount is omitted somehow. I can do it manually, but it's not acceptable behavior. If you need a CD/DVD catalogizer, give a try to my program:

Yes, but it has nothing to do with that. After a while, I've decided to use KDE desktop instead. GNOME is not enough mature for my requests. I'm really sorry, since I like it's simplicity, but there are still a lot to be done before GNOME can be as good as required by me.

gnome-volume-manager is the system that auto mounts devices. So it does have something to do with that. Gnome for me is more mature then any KDE version released. But I guess this is just a matter of taste.
