Best Wireless-N adapters in Ubuntu
Hello due to the fact I am having so much trouble with my wifi-N card I was wondering if there are any working Wireless N PCI cards out there that works with ubuntu without having to go through the whole NDISwrapper thingy. Thanks

I am using a D-Link DWA-652 Xtreme N Extended Range Card. I get a connection, and I can surf the net. That's about all I can tell you because there is no way of getting any information about connection speed. Oh yeah, I can tell which SSID I'm hooked to, and the signal strength
Hope this helps.

Hey that sounds great the only problem is I don't have a PCMI card but I did look at other D-link products I was wondering if you knew anything about the DWA-552 Xtreme N Desktop Adapter and ubuntu according to the Ubuntu Configuration wiki it works without Ndiswrapper However before I go and buy it I am going to ask around if anyone got it to work in UBUTNU 10.04.

Oh, Actually. I only have Ubuntu on a Laptop with a PCMI Notebook Adapter.
But I don't imagine that it's much different on a Desktop with a PCI Adapter, the software and function seem to be the same.
it took a while for Ubuntu to recognize it. I just kept downloading things for wireless until all of a sudden I had a wireless connection, so I can't really tell you exactly how I got it working.

Yeah but it helps, also I do have a laptop that needs a PCMI Card anyways. So I think D-Link might be a good idea so its still great news
