wireless lan setup
For a couple of years I have maintained an unsecured wireless LAN connecting to the internet automatically on boot of my Ubuntu OS via Wild Blue satellite. As we live in the boonies on a private road at the end I skipped adding WEP or WPA security. 8 days ago I had problems with my virtually faultless logon- no connection. I found that "linksys" had appeared as my default automatic connection with no personal knowledge . I have tried to delete this and go back to my original boot sequence but linksys has taken over. I am a beginner with Ubuntu slowly learning terminal usage- but as a septuagenarian the process is slow. Any suggestions gladly received, and especially any comments about a possible security breach. Passwords, updates always kept up.
Thanks.
