    ubuntu 9.10

    hey all i installed ubuntu 9.10 but it doesnt work i have a laptop MEDION akoya P6622 which its whit a geforce 310m 3d card and a intel graphics media accelerator 3d card can someone help me i just get a black screen when i wanted to start up ubuntu windows 7 just work normal grtzzz mikeyy

    One of those Aldi beauties, was it? They're great machines and still the best value around.

    Anyway back to your problem. Are you still trying to boot from CD at this point? If so how did you burn the disc? Make sure you burned the original .iso file as an image to disc....do not extract it first and do not burn it as an entire file in data mode.

    The file needs to be burned as an image because it contains boot information that needs to be at the start of the disc.

    As a side note, Ubuntu 10.04 was released last week. It's a great improvement so it might be worth checking that out anyway.

    you say you have a geforce310m and then an intel graphics card, usually laptops only have one card, so which is it?
