Local Apt Repository Confusion
Hello Everyone,
My question is associated with the apt-mirror tutorial at this web site
"howtoforge.com/local_debian_ubuntu_mirror_p2".
I am running debian lenny and I am trying to setup a local apt repository using apt-mirror using the tutorial listed above. It appears I have all my packages installed but it installed everything in a pool.
I have my contrib, main, and non-free directories stored in
"/var/spool/apt-mirror/mirror/ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool"
However, fallowing the tutorial it should have stored these packages in
"var/spool/apt-mirror/mirror/ftp.us.debian.org/debian/dists"
So I think my problem is something silly but I have not found any good information on how to use pool assuming I can use pool with my other lenny boxes on my local net to easily install debian packages.
How would I write my sources.list file for my other debian lenny boxes to use pool if this is possible. Any information regarding this problem would be really great. Again I think my problem is something trivial.
THanks,
joe

Reply--Fix
Hey there everyone,
I basically figured it out. I had to revise my mirror.list file to accept and download lenny packages.
Then I found that I actually already had the lenny packages installed but they installed in a odd place so I coppied them into the directory where they should be located according to my previous post then linked my apache server to it and ran a quick test and it seems to work now. All the information is in the tutorial I posted in the previous post.
So it was a pretty silly error.
Hopefully this post might help someone out there since it stumped me for a good little while
