Success with programs PXE booting to clone Ubuntu
Howdy all. In the last two days, I've been attempting to set up something to PXE boot and clone servers. I've tried both SystemImager and Clonezilla SE. Both were a bit of a pain in the butt to install, then ran without throwing any errors... and then didn't actually make an image (in the case of SystemImager) or wouldn't boot to the disk copyer (in the case of Clonezilla). The exact problems I had are a bit in-depth, and clearly many people have used these successfully in the past, but it's just not happening for me apparently.
My setup is all Ubuntu all the time. I wish to use an Ubuntu server to make an image copy of another Ubuntu server (which is on different hardware than the machine which I'm wanting to use as the imaging server) to then deploy via PXE to additional servers (with the same hardware as the second mentioned Ubuntu server, which I'm trying to clone).
So, my question is, what have people had success with in a similar situation? At this point I'd like to avoid anything that I have to compile or make, though doing so isn't completely off the table. Also if you have a suggestion, links to any tutorials on using the suggestion would of course be appreciated.
