Bluetooth chipset not recognized under Ubuntu 10.04

    Hi.
I am a newbie in Linux environment. I own a Toshiba Satellite P300-19F laptop equipped with an onboard bluetooth chipset. Under Windows I can use the bluetooth technology flawlessly. Unfortunately, Ubuntu Lucid Linx does not recognize my BT chipset. Does anyone know how to let it work, please? Is there a way to use the windows driver as ndiswrapper does with wifi drivers? Thanks a lot in advance.

I don't know about that particular laptop. I do know that some chipsets work with default managers and some don't. My BT adapter is in the no category. Following other posts, I installed BlueMan (available via Synaptic) and I've been using the bluetooth ever since.

All I can suggest is to try it and cross fingers.
