    Kernel 2.6.34 upgradation

    Hi friends,

    Is it possible to upgrade the kernel 2.6.27 to 2.6.34 in ubuntu 8.10.


    As I tried doing,it went through the process but while booting it comes up with an error 15...

    I suspect that the latest kernel does not support...

    8.10 is out of support cycle now, so you should probably upgrade to latest ubuntu anyway

    after that, you will probably have an easier time with the new kernel, though the reason why you would want to compile your own I wouldn't know
