Xubuntu fails to load login screen.
I've been running xubuntu for a few weeks now, but just today I began having a few problems. When I boot my computer, it simply freezes at the xubuntu logo just before the login screen.
The last thing I remember doing beefore this is typing export DISPLAY=:0.0 in the tty1 terminal.
Thanks.

Well. It could be that the display you set is wrong. The DISPLAY variable is used by a lot of programs and triggers them to write the display data to the framebuffer of that display. I would recommend to undo the operation.
