I have connected my Linux based board (Metrix Mark II) to my lap top and I want to use putty to send some commands to my board!

I could have connection via SSH but unfortunately, when I want to log in to the board it gives me "access denied" error.

Should I enter specific user name in front of the "Login as:" ?

The password is root and I entered root, my name, my computer name and the session name (separately) as username! None of them worked!

Does any body know what I should do or how I can have connection without user and password?

Please help me!
