mail/sendmail [127.0.0.1 connection refused]
I have sendmail running (quite well) on my Unbuntu box. It sends and receives
through Thunderbird locally. It deals with other MUAs on (allowed) remote
machines. It seems to have just one problem. It will not accept mail from the
local 'mail' program. It reports [127.0.0.1 connection refused] in the logs. It
seems to me that it used to work. But that was some time back and it is kind of
vague. The /etc/hosts file looks correct. hostname and dnsdomainname
return proper values. I have rebuilt the sendmail.cf file from a clean sendmail.mc
file. I'm hoping someone can shine a little light on my problem.
