    How do I change my battery options?

    I click on my battery and go to preferences but is there a option like on windows to put your laptop at low power consumption to save battery, at didn't see any. I'm running ubuntu lts 10.04. Thanks.

    9.04 has no such ability. You can tell it what to do when the battery gets low, but you cannot change the power consumption by slowing the processor and memory cycles. I'm not sure you can.

    Is there a way to request to the programmers of ubuntu to see if they will work on this, I am just asking cause it is sad that ubuntu uses less system resources then when I has 7 on here but with 7 I could get 4-6 hours on a charge (depending on task) with ubuntu I get 3-3 1/2 hours on a charge.
