    [SOLVED] Frequent Login Keyring

After loading Ubuntu I get a pop up screen asking for my password. It says, "Enter password to unlock your login keyring". Then it keeps popping up every few minutes.

Is there anyway to either stop this or increase the time interval considerably?

It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Open Home ( Places -> Home ) and press Ctrl +H. Hidden files/folders will be visible now. Open .gnome2 - keyrings folder and delete default.keyring file.
It will ask for new password on reboot. Keep it blank.

When I open the "keyrings" folder, I have two choices: " login.keyring" and" user.keystore" . Is the file "login.keyring" the "default.keyring" you speak of?

Yes. It is login.keyring in Ubuntu 10.04. You can remove both files though.

OK. I removed both files per your comment. I rebooted and no "keyring" pop up occurred. Although it did not ask me for a new password. So far so good!

    Many thanks.
