    Questions regrading Ubuntu

    Hi,

I have been using Ubuntu 10.4 for about 6 months now and so far I love it. After learning on how to use it getting some games to work and getting some games to fail so bad that I want to reformat and try again lol.
I have been reading some articles that I am sure have been around forever concerning Ubuntu ultimate and gamers edition. I was wondering if anyone has been using those at all because I have been thinking about upgrading to either or. From what you have seen out of them are any better at putting games on?Or just anything you have noticed between them. I have really started enjoying Linux and I love learning new things about it. So if you could give me any advice or comments about the different Ubuntus that would be awesome!

What games, specifically, are you trying to install? I've never had an install get messed up simply by installing games. Perhaps there's an easier way to do what you're trying to do.

I would not recommend Ultimate Edition. It's not an official branch of Ubuntu and in my personal opinion the games they include on the disc aren't very good anyway. You'd be better of using a default Ubuntu install and adding what you want.

None of the spin-offs of Ubuntu (whether they're official or unofficial) are any better at installing or playing games than any other. Just to be clear, are we talking about native Linux games here or are you having trouble installing games designed for Microsoft Windows?
