    Unhappy formatted sd card wrong

i formatted my sandisk 8gb sdhc card and partitioned it to 2gb partitions so that it would work in my cell phone well that didn't work so i tried to do it another way and i set some of it to empty 00x00 and now it obviously won't work and i cannot reformat and partition it back into an 8gb card with just the one partition. I tried all sorts of things to revert the dang thing but have not been able to get it to do anything but stay broken. I hope that i haven't ruined the thing and need help changing it back to the way it was. Each time I have tried to change it back it just goes back to empty 00x00 and I tried to use windows as well to format the partition and it won't even recognize it at all. Help oh and I no next to nothing about Linux and am trying to learn the ropes so please explain things as layman or windows like so that I can understand it. Thanks

    Please insert the sd card,
    wait ca 10seconds,
then run these two commands as root:
    Code:
    dmesg
    fdisk -l
Post the output here in QUOTE tags

YAY! I did it. Finally and I figured out on my own. Man! I am impressed with myself. I had to create the rest of the unused space and make filesystems then I was able to delete them all and recreate thhe partitions and format them the create the filesystems again etc... and I got my disk back. YAY!!! I am just going to buy a 2gb card for the phone and use the 8gb for the &" Android tablet from Eken I just got on Ebay, it's like an Ipad but hundreds cheaper. Actually I got it for $126 including shipping which is $20 more than another place I found one but too late for that. It ticked off the wife but I got away with it because it's my birthday in 10 days and I reminded her of the fact that she's always buying dresses and shoes etc... lol Ironically (if it is ironic) she doesn't seem to see it as the same sort of thing which boggles my mind. Oh well YAY!!! again for me getting that dang card to work again.

I don't know why I couldn't seem to get anyone to reply to the posts I made elsewhere and I know I haven't had this one up more than half an hour. So if anyone else has the same problem then they can follow what I wrote to fix it.
