How to set up Asus RT-N16 Wireless Router in Linux Ubuntu and/or other distros
Hey, why doesn't anyone ever answer my questions about Linux support for routers?
Can someone please tell me how to set it up. The setup software that comes with it is specifically for Windows.

Router and Linux
The router does not need to be setup with the disk. Plug the router in, and then your computer via a network cable. Reboot your computer. The address of your router should be either 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 From there you can manually setup your router, in your web browser of choice.
If you have any questions; post back and I'll help you out with the configuration.
Cheers!

None of the routers that I've ever used cared which OS was being used. Check the quick start guide that came with the router for step-by-step instructions and you should be fine if you follow them. I wouldn't bother with trying to use any setup disk, as they usually only complicate things, especially when they are designed for use with Windows.
