[SOLVED] No Sound on Presario v6719NR in Mint
I installed Mint Isadora on my sons Lappy, and everything went great until I tried to listen to Music in Rythmbox, and I had no sound.
I have excuted alsa -l through terminal, but it showed no Device Present, or something to that effect.
When broaching the subject in Mint Chat, I had some excellant incite, but still no resolution. It may be a Connexant Audio Driver, which doesn't appear to be very well supported in the Linux Community.
Any ideas?
Thanks,

Sounds like your sons soundcard might not be supported by Isadoras kernel maybe. I don't run Mint anymore (I use AntiX). And I won't be of much help as I am busy with family medical stuff.
You can post the output of
(that is a lower case L for lspci)Code:sudo lspci
to post what kind of soundcard your sons lappy uses.
More info will give better results.

Thanks Rok,
I can't really get to it right now, but I will get back here with that information.
I appreciate the reply.
Thanks Again,
