The Linux 2.6 kernel supports the ARM926 architecture just fine. I use Debian Etch with a 2.6.21 kernel on my embedded ARM9 boards and it works very well. I can boot from flash or SD card in under 1.5 seconds. The link given by JosePF is a good one.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

i got an idea..
i used kernal 2.6.20 it worked successful.. i tried with kernal2.6.34 but how to configure it for ARM i don't know... any how if no i will go back with 2.6.2X...
