    key mapping problems

    haya all.
    the other Day i tryeD to make a shortcut so i could Do <ctrl> <alt> D for Deleting. i Didn't manage to Do it in the end but Did manage to stop the D key from working (yes im pasting my D's). how Do i get my D key to work again???

    also i wanted my windows key to open my app menu but couldn't figure out that either. i couldn't get it as a keyboard shortcut??? could someone please help me. thanks.

    oh and at the moment the windows key inst recognized.

    Hmh, this help request is a day old, where are all the Gnome gurus?

    buzz86,

    all user settings are stored in your home directory, meaning you did not screw up your install. I'd open a terminal and start digging.
    ~/.config directory is a good place to start.
    Sorry, that's all I can say, I'm no fan of bloated desktop environments. Running bare Openbox myself.
