Possible to have 2 monitors connected to 1 PC, but with 2 different users connected?

I don't know if it is, but is it possible with a Linux distro (I'm thinking Ubuntu Desktop or Server Edition) to connect 2 monitors to one PC tower using the 2 DVI ports on the graphics card, and allow two people to log in (one on each monitor)?

Otherwise, do you have any suggestions to have a server of some sort, but then let an older PC with worse hardware (and a light linux distro on it) to connect to the more powerful PC (over the network).

    Thanks.
