[SOLVED] Grub question
Hi,
my first post here. A Windows intermediate user, been interested in tinkering since I started playing around with my first few 386's. Tried Suse a few years back but didn't have the tech know-how to get it working properly.
Just installed Ubuntu 10.04 & have got over the initial hiccups of trying to get the network manager working with a WEP password (but not being able to download the fix because net not working!!). Like it so far. Am a little homesick, I had just bought Office Suite a few months back, so I still log into Win 7 to get that working. I.e. there are things about Windows I still like (am I meant to say that here??)
I had a question re: the Grub loader at the start. Any way to change the default option? The wife isn't quite a s thrilled about linux as me
Thanks in advance.
Cameron.

Hello and welcome to the forums!
You can find a nice GRUB2 HowTo that gives instructions for configuring that and other parts of GRUB2 here:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Grub2
GRUB2 might seem a little more complicated than the older GRUB Legacy at first, but it begins to make sense after working with it for a while.oz
