HDMI sound not affected in Kmix?

I have Ubuntu 10.04 but I installed KDE for a try(which I'm not liking by the way >_>)

I can use the volume control in GNOME still and I can control it with PusleAudio but I can't use my keyboard buttons for Pulse, only KMix. In Kmix though I can't find a master channel for HDMI.

My sound comes through the HDMI of a Radeon HD5770 if that helps.
    Any advice?

In system settings I can hit the "test" button(bottom right of the window) for the Pulse Audio server and it works, but the actual HDMI selection produces no sound when I test it. Furthermore, in the mixer(KMix), when I go to the HD audio tab, nothing is able to be selected.

PS. I know I'm breaking the rule about posting URLs but it's photobucket, and relevant to my question. Sorry =[

Anyone? Drivers maybe? Something I can change in system settings?
