    Very slow suspend

    Hello,

My suspend is very slow, it can take about 1 minute. Everything else, including resume go smoothly.

Checking in the sys long i noticed this:

    Code:
Aug 10 13:07:36 gabrielcik-laptop init: anacron main process (2184) killed by TERM signal
    Aug 10 13:08:24 gabrielcik-laptop kernel: [ 1748.453426] PM: Syncing filesystems ... done.
    Aug 10 13:08:24 gabrielcik-laptop bluetoothd[943]: HCI dev 0 unregistered
Aug 10 13:08:24 gabrielcik-laptop kernel: [ 1748.517127] PM: Preparing system for mem sleep
Notice the time required for to sync the filesystem...
I believe this is the reason of a so slow suspend!
what to do for to fix it?

My netbook is a Vaio W12 with 2GB of ram and a 30GB SSD.
    I use ubuntu 10.04 (1 partition with ext4)

    Thank you

P.s. It is not normal that it takes so long since i tried suspend on other netbooks, with even lower performances and they suspend in few seconds.

well, it writes to the ssd with about 42.6mb/s. I don't know if that's fast or slow for the SSD controller built into the Vaio?

    Ciao,

The ssd is not built on the motherboard but is a OCZ solid 2 30GB bought apart as replacement of the native HD.

Everything is very fast, boot and shutdown in few seconds, the same about everything else. The only issue is with Suspend...

    Any idea?

    Thank you!
