    Apache Server in Ubuntu

    Hello.

    i tried configuring Apache server on my computer using chkconfig httpd start.

    The information you give is to limited for anyone to really help.

    How did you install Apache? Which release of Ubuntu are you using? Are you using Ubuntu server version? You could check the Ubuntu site below which has explanations of installing on different Ubuntu versons:

    As I understand, the chkconfig command handles how each startup service that uses an initscript is called and in which runlevel.
