[SOLVED] Opening command line box
I have tried installing a couple of programs (Google Earth and Flash Player) for Linux. They are bin programs. When I try to install them I get a message that I need to open the command line box. How do I do that? I know what I'm supposed to put in the command line, but if I can't get to it, the point is moot.
Clearly I'm a Linux virgin. Thanks for any help you can give.

Hello and welcome to the forums!
You should be able to open a Terminal by clicking the icon for it in your panel, or by accessing it trough the applications menu. In Gnome, it usually found at Applications / Accessories / Terminal.
Keep in mind that if you are running Ubuntu, you'll need to include the sudo command with commands entered on the command line:

Thanks Ozar. I'm sorry it took so long to respond. My internet connection is trash and still hasn't been fixed.
